Description
Sunset over Motif #1 and Rockport Harbor in Massachusetts on a cold December 2020 day. Motif #1 is a red lobster shack on Bearskin Neck in Rockport, Massachusetts on Bradley Wharf.
Motif #1 is the most painted building in the United States if not the world. It has appeared in movies, magazine covers, postage stamps, etc.
Today's Motif #1 is a replica of the shack built in 1884 - 1885 that has attracted painters and photographers all over. It was rebuilt after the "Blizzard of 1978" which destroyed the original one. Rockport is one of my favorite places to visit, walk around, and photograph.
