Motif #1 and Rockport Harbor in Massachusetts on a cold December 2020 day. Motif #1 is a red lobster shack on Bearskin Neck in Rockport, Massachusetts on Bradley Wharf.
Motif #1 is the most painted building in the United States if not the world. It has appeared in movies, magazine covers, postage stamps, etc.
Today's Motif #1 is a replica of the shack built in 1884 - 1885 that has attracted painters and photographers all over. It was rebuilt after the "Blizzard of 1978" which destroyed the original one. Rockport is one of my favorite places to visit, walk around, and photograph.

I'm a photographer living in Massachusetts with a passion for photography, architecture, and art. I capture landscape, seascape, nature, abstract, and macro photography in the United States, Canada, and Europe. I have traveled extensively, and I have seen all that nature has to offer in each of these countries. I focus on the culture countries have to offer, pastoral beauty of the French and Italian countryside, colorful subjects, sunsets, sunrises, waterfalls, and seascapes. Through the lens of my camera, I try to capture nature's beauty and present it in austere settings. Besides photography, I enjoy traveling, hiking, walking along cliffside trails, and walking beaches. *** Please note: The WATERMARKS you see on this site will be...
